Elegance and Performance

The Saba 50, elegant on the water and with high levels of performance, also offers a
splendid place to relax with its carefully crafted Lounge deck. This is integrated into the design process from the very beginning in order to give the craft its beautiful lines as well as the best possible levels of comfort, both at sea and at mooring.

Movement on board has been designed so that there is direct communication between the cockpit, the helm station and the lounge deck.

Thus the entire crew can easily move about in complete safety and without hindrance.

Around the World Sailing

Fountaine-Pajot catamarans have crossed the Atlantic more than 500 times and travelled around the world on dozens of occasions. When built, most catamarans sail to their future mooring, whether in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Asia, Australia or even South Pacific.

Stable Catamarans at Sail and While Anchored

With their excellent performance at sea, Fountaine-Pajot catamarans are stable during navigation, without any uncomfortable rolling.

Well balanced, they remain stable when anchored, allowing for special moments in complete tranquillity.

  1. The Quintet, 5 cabin version with double skipper cabin-- for large families, or those who like to bring lots of friends. You can have one or two bow cabins (with ensuite head) for single guests or a captain and mate if you choose this as a flexible charter arrangement.
  2. The Maestro version. A unique version with 4 rather than 3 cabins and an optional one or two bow cabins. Each guest suite has it's own head with abundant cosmetic storage locker space, and a totally separate shower.
  3. A unique, ACY Hybrid version combining some of the best of both versions. One or two single cabins (optional) forward.

Integrated indoor- outdoor living.

With its overhead portholes and grand, totally uninterrupted panoramic picture window in the saloon, the SABA 50 offers a splendid horizon over the sea. The opening onto the cockpit reinforces this feeling of space and comfort.

Oversized windows with integrated opening hatches that do not block the view, let you take advantage of the Blue Tooth instruments. You can sit at the dining table with guests, or the Nav. table in the main saloon and enjoy a 360 degree view. If a fishing boat, or crab pot pops up ahead, no problem. Just use the chart plotter function on your smart pad--hit the dodge button on the integrated auto-pilot and steer around the obstacle. You don't even need to return to the control station!

The saloon with its 360° panoramic view

The saloon enjoys a 360° panoramic view: it is the ideal place to cook, dine, relax with friends or draw up navigation charts. There is constant protection from the sun with a shelter on all Fountaine-Pajot catamarans. This is more than a hallmark. It prevents the greenhouse effect and keeps the bridge in the shade at all times.

For entertaining, you have your choice of a coffee style table, or a full sized, pull out table for 8. In addition to the two drawer refrigerator and freezer in the galley, the cockpit offers an optional beverage cooler and ice-maker.

The galley

With generous, well-defined areas including a sleek dining table, plush seating, a comprehensive and airy galley, and forward facing navigation station, the spacious galley and saloon represents true design brilliance.

RELAXING AREAS (See slide show, right)

The choices are suburb. The cockpit with a 12' long  back bench seat. The table pulls out to here and two included chairs, offer seating for 9-12. In addition, you have a lounge across from the dining area and, of course, the famous flat floor transition to the main saloon with counter top pass through and optional ice-maker under this counter.

The control station seats 3 and is open to the cockpit for serving, and the deck so a couple can easily handle the boat with the helmsman at deck level for docking. Adjacent to this, just a step up, is a fly bridge sun deck with a comfortable lounge.

Forward you have seating and lounges without the dangerous bathtub found in other boats. (On these other boats, they hold 1,000's of pounds of water and cannot possibly empty in the 7 seconds or so between waves leaving you vulnerable to having a nose down position when you hit the next wave.) The comfortable lounge chaises have a ratcheting backrest so you can adjust your comfort level.

All of the way forward, we offer the famous ACY net cover with zipped on pillows. This makes star gazing at night a treat for 6-8 people laying on this very comfortable Textelene cover--just like your high end deck furniture at home.

“In all Fountaine-Pajot catamarans the cabins are located in the hulls, completely isolated and independent with high ceilings and wide passageways. The cabins are designed as peaceful retreats. Enjoying excellent natural light and ventilation, all cabin versions feature double beds, private ensuites and large windows affording outstanding views.

Descent into passageways

The breadth and height of stairs are planned for sailors of a larger build (approx. 60-70cm wide and 1m90 tall) as well as children, with the steps fixed at a reasonable height.
