I have just returned from another fantastic trip to Europe for the international dealer meetings of Jeanneau and Fountaine Pajot. Both offered a look at some exciting new products, important developments on production and outlook for 2019 and 2020, and exciting awards for the Atlantic Cruising Yachts team.

Jeanneau International Dealer Meeting: Port Bourgenay, France.

Our East Coast of Florida Regional Manager, Josef Buxton, and I joined approximately 300 other dealer representatives in Port Bourgenay, located in the Vendee region of France. The location is the perfect backdrop for idyllic summer cruising.

I traveled to La Rochelle, France the first week of May to visit the Fountaine Pajot factory. I met with Fountaine Pajot executives Romain Motteau and Steven Guedeu and previewed the new Astréa 42. There have been so many exciting developments with this company over the last year, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with them. Spending quality time together to plan for the future was a welcomed opportunity.

We have just ONE MY 37 production slot left for delivery in spring 2019, which ACY has committed to purchase from Fountaine Pajot.
As a result of this commitment, we are able to negotiate special pricing which we are able to pass through to our clients in the form of a 3% discount on the base price and factory options.
Because these production slots are close together, we can coordinate shipping and obtain further savings of $8,600 per boat to pass along to our clients.

The total discount for our ACY sample package is over $26,000 off with this program, bringing the total price down from over $633,000 to under $607,000 for a very well equipped boat, landed in Annapolis or Fort Lauderdale with U.S. Duty paid.

We are happy to report that all of our charter affiliates’ staff are safe and accounted for, and life is beginning to return to normal in the Virgin Islands and Key West. We do know that in time, these beautiful places will recover as they have in the past.
