Salva Duran, a Spanish and English-speaking yacht sales consultant, brings 30+ years of experience and passion for sailing monohulls and catamarans to our team. When it comes to sailing education, Salva works diligently to help his clients better understand their needs and what they would like to achieve with their cruising lifestyle. Based at our Fort Lauderdale office, Salva looks forward to putting his clients first as a yacht salesperson by utilizing his extensive knowledge from sailing around the world. He is a certified RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (200gt) with both sailing and power commercial endorsement and holds the Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW.)
He began his career in the Mediterranean Sea along the southeast coast of Spain, Cartagena, a city bearing over 2,500 years of nautical history. Salva started racing monohulls as a bowman and later as a tactician. He raced for several years at the Copa del Rey in Palma de Mallorca and even won the Copa del Rey 6M Class in Sanxenxo against the emeritus King of Spain Juan Carlos I. Salva has lived across the globe in Zürich, London, Madrid, São Paulo, the Caribbean, New York, and now Miami. A BBA from the Catholic University of Spain, an International Research program at Cambridge University (UK), and his vast international background help Salva bring his global knowledge to his clients whether they are selling or purchasing a yacht.
Salva and his lovely wife, CC, live aboard their own Sun Kiss 45 while sailing the Caribbean. They now enjoy life split between land and sea with their fluffy Labradoodle puppy, Toro. When he’s not with his family, Salva spends most of his weekends doing deliveries, safety instruction on board, sailing lessons, and SOLAS classes with new owners and new captains. He combines his passion for the sea with developing his own businesses in the events and digital marketing industries. Salva’s passion for sailing is clearly unmatched and he is thrilled to assist customers purchasing Fountaine Pajot and Dufour sailboats to live out their sailing dreams.
